Want To Volunteer?

At PTC, volunteers make an enormous difference in the lives of our kids. From just sitting with kids, helping with projects or just reading to a group, volunteers are an invaluable asset to our center. We have opportunities including helping in the preschool, the or within the center.  For more information about volunteering,

call 509-663-6001.

Getting Started:

  • If you suspect your child may need skilled therapy, contact your Family Resources Coordinator in Chelan and Douglas Counties at (509) 664-3781.

  • During the phone call, you will need to provide basic information about your child such as their name, date of birth, diagnosis from doctor, insurance information, and the name of their primary doctor.

  • Family Resources Coordinator will then schedule an evaluation with our team here at the PTC.

  • Call your insurance provider. Find out whether your policy covers the type of therapy you are requesting, the number of visits allowed and whether your policy requires co-payment. It is your responsibility to understand your insurance benefits.

  • The evaluation will take about one hour. Many questions will be asked about your child's past medical history, birth history and current skills. Observations of play and child friendly standardized tests are performed to determine and evaluate your child's strengths and weaknesses. The information obtained is used to determine if your child has a need for therapy and our services.

  • Our team will review then evaluation the findings and respond to the Family Resources Coordinator with our recommendations and suggestions for services if they are required.

  • Your Family Resources Coordinator will then contact you with the results and schedule appointments and complete the necessary paperwork should your child require services.
